After a rich buffet breakfast, start discovering Tuscany. We suggest you begin with one of the most important towns: SIENA. Siena’s carparks are close to the centre (the Wednesday market makes it harder to park) and it’s just a 5-10 minute walk to Piazza del Campo, one of the world’s most beautiful squares, particularly famous as the venue of the historic horserace, “IL PALIO DI SIENA”, held twice a year, on 02/07 and 16/08 and for the Cathedral with its colours and marble.
It is important not to forget to visit Palazzo Pubblico, where you can admire the fresco by Lorenzetti: ”The Good Government Allegory”.
On your return journey the castle of Monteriggioni is definitely worth a visit. Set on a hill and surrounded by walls dating back to 1200, it is currently home to several families and also hosts shops and restaurants.
When you arrive back you can rest by the side of our pool until it’s time for a cocktail or dinner either at Molino di Foci or at one of our recommended restaurants.
